Cartier revisits one of its most recognisable symbols of love with a new collection of gold and diamond-set creations designed to be worn, layered and interpreted without limits.

Some jewellery becomes iconic. Some becomes part of the language of love itself.

Cartier’s LOVE collection has achieved both. Since its creation in New York in 1969, the collection has evolved far beyond the traditional idea of romantic jewellery, becoming one of the Maison’s most recognisable signatures.

Now, Cartier is opening a new chapter with LOVE Unlimited.

The latest creations introduce a fresh interpretation of the collection, pairing the unmistakable LOVE aesthetic with fluid silhouettes, hand-finished craftsmanship and the brilliance of diamonds. At the centre of the new offering is an all-gold necklace, joined by refined diamond-set bracelets that reinterpret the collection’s famous screw motif.

The result is distinctly Cartier—but with a more fluid, contemporary attitude.

A Necklace Designed Like a Golden Ribbon

The new LOVE Unlimited necklace brings movement to the collection.

Designed to drape elegantly around the neck, the necklace unfurls like a golden ribbon, combining soft, flowing lines with the structured character that defines LOVE.

Available in rose gold, yellow gold and rhodium-plated white gold, it features a fluid arrangement of gadrooned links punctuated by Cartier’s signature LOVE screws.

Rather than feeling rigid or overly formal, the design is intended to move naturally with the wearer. It is a subtle shift in the way the LOVE codes are experienced—less about a single iconic shape and more about how the jewellery interacts with the body.

When the LOVE Screw Meets Diamonds

Cartier then turns its attention to another defining element of the collection: the screw.

For the new LOVE Unlimited bracelets, the familiar screw details are reimagined through a series of 0.80-carat round diamonds, bringing a distinctly luminous dimension to the design.

Cartier has developed a special screw-shaped setting in white gold, including on the rose-gold and yellow-gold versions. The contrast helps emphasise the brilliance of the diamonds while preserving the visual language of the original LOVE design.

It is an elegant example of how Cartier can alter one of its most recognisable signatures without losing the identity behind it.

Nearly 200 Components, Finished by Hand

Beneath the effortless appearance of LOVE Unlimited is an intricate exercise in jewellery craftsmanship.

The construction of the bracelets and necklaces involves approximately 200 miniaturised components, each one polished entirely by hand before being assembled.

For the new diamond-set bracelets, the process becomes even more demanding. Every diamond is selected according to Cartier’s exacting criteria, adding another layer of precision to an already highly technical creation.

It is this combination of engineering, hand craftsmanship and attention to detail that gives the pieces their distinctive finish—luxury that is as much about what happens behind the scenes as what appears on the wrist or neckline.

Made for Layering

LOVE Unlimited is also designed with versatility in mind.

The new diamond version of the bracelet features an invisible Cartier-patented clasp that allows it to be attached to another bracelet.

That opens up the collection to endless combinations. Wear the diamond bracelet alone for a more understated statement, pair it with another piece or layer it with the original all-gold LOVE Unlimited bracelet.

The idea is deliberately personal: there is no single way to wear LOVE Unlimited.

Mix it. Match it. Layer it. Make it your own.

The Legacy Behind LOVE

To understand the significance of LOVE Unlimited, it helps to return to where the story began.

In 1969, in New York, designer Aldo Cipullo created the LOVE bracelet, introducing a design that challenged conventional ideas of romantic jewellery.

Its distinctive screw motif became instantly recognisable, while its concept reflected the changing cultural landscape of the era—a new, more radical idea of love and freedom.

More than five decades later, that spirit continues through LOVE Unlimited.

Cartier describes the collection as a continuation of this powerful vision: a celebration of love that is unrestricted, personal and constantly evolving.

LOVE Unlimited in Paris

The new collection is also being brought to life through a campaign set against one of the world’s most romantic cities.

Shot in Paris, the campaign follows a couple sharing intimate LOVE Unlimited moments along the Seine. The river, stretching through the city like a continuous ribbon, becomes a visual metaphor for infinity—echoing the collection’s central idea of love without limits.

The story expands further with Jacob Elordi, who stars as the cosmopolitan hero of an intimate and sensory photo series photographed by his sister, Isabelle Elordi.

A New Expression of an Icon

With the latest LOVE Unlimited creations, Cartier isn’t attempting to reinvent its most recognisable design language. Instead, it is allowing those familiar codes to move, shine and evolve.

An all-gold necklace introduces a new way of wearing the collection, while diamond-set bracelets bring a fresh brilliance to the iconic screw motif. Together, the pieces reflect Cartier’s ability to balance heritage with contemporary design without compromising the identity that made LOVE an icon in the first place.

Because when it comes to Cartier, love may have a signature—but it has never had a limit.
