Minerva draws on the symbolism of Ancient Rome for its latest limited-edition timepiece, pairing its signature Exo Tourbillon complication with a striking blue and white agate cameo.
Minerva has long been associated with highly complex watchmaking, and its latest creation brings that technical expertise together with centuries-old symbolism.
The Minerva Exo Tourbillon Skeleton Limited Edition 18 revisits one of the manufacture’s most celebrated complications, while paying tribute to its namesake — Minerva, the Roman goddess associated with wisdom, arts and strategic warfare.
At the heart of the timepiece is Minerva’s patented Exo Tourbillon, a distinctive construction in which the balance wheel is positioned above the tourbillon cage. The unusual architecture gives the complication a strong visual presence, particularly in this skeletonised interpretation where the intricate movement is left almost entirely exposed.
A Cameo Inspired by Ancient Rome

The most immediately recognisable detail is the blue and white agate cameo integrated into the open dial.
Beyond its decorative appeal, the cameo serves as a direct reference to Minerva’s connection with Ancient Rome. Set against the exposed mechanics of the movement, the classical motif creates an interesting contrast between historic symbolism and contemporary haute horlogerie.
Beneath it, the tourbillon remains constantly in motion, offering a glimpse into the precision engineering at the centre of the watch.

Where Art Meets Watchmaking
The skeletonised construction allows the movement to become part of the visual identity of the watch itself. Bridges, components and finishing details are intentionally brought into view, giving the wearer a closer look at the craftsmanship behind the complication.
The result is a timepiece that balances classical inspiration with modern mechanical watchmaking — from the Roman-inspired cameo to the highly technical Exo Tourbillon.
Limited to just 18 pieces, the Minerva Exo Tourbillon Skeleton Limited Edition 18 is conceived as both a showcase of Minerva’s technical expertise and a contemporary interpretation of the mythology surrounding its namesake.
For collectors, it is a watch where the story is as important as the mechanism: Ancient Rome, artistic craftsmanship and complex horology brought together in a single limited-edition creation.
